Hope In The Valley Ministry

Our Story & Mission

Learn why we exist, what drives us, and the biblical foundation that shapes everything we do.

A Ministry Born From Need

Hope In The Valley Ministry was founded in response to the growing suicide crisis affecting the Cleveland, Tennessee area and the nation as a whole. In 2023, over 49,000 Americans died by suicide β€” making it one of the leading causes of death nationwide. Here in Bradley County, Tennessee, we have witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of suicide loss on families, churches, and our entire community.

We believe the local church has a unique and powerful role to play in this crisis. Faith communities offer something that no clinical setting alone can provide: genuine belonging, spiritual hope, and the body of Christ walking together through the deepest valleys of human suffering.

Our ministry operates as a non-denominational Christian outreach β€” welcoming all denominations and faith traditions β€” focused on equipping churches, schools, families, and community organizations with both spiritual and practical tools to prevent suicide, support the grieving, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
